Welcome to Your Journey in Learning

Sparta Debate is a free speech and debate program for low-income middle and high school girls and nonbinary youth of color. Students are taught speech and debate events in accordance with current NSDA (National Speech and Debate Association) standards. Among these events are limited preparation, platform, and interpretation events, as well as parliamentary debate, Lincoln Douglas debate, SPAR, public forum, and Congress.

Students are at minimum expected to attend a weekly lecture as well as a weekly speech and debate practice. Both are virtual and will take place over Zoom.
